There are so many great Tumblr pages out there – March PR (obvs), PRWeek and my recent favorite, 99 Problems But A Pitch Ain’t One.
Whether you’re a PR professional or not, you’ll appreciate this site – trust me.
Updated daily (creator unknown), this page features video clips from movies, TV shows and other events, all relating to “first world problems of PR pros.” The “shorts” are fed to Pitch’s Twitter page so you can easily see on TweetDeck what the problem of the day (or hour) is.
I’m also a huge fan of the newly launched Jargon Jar, featuring a phrase of the day! According to 99 Problems, Jargon Jar is very similar to the Swear Jar. “Rather than swear words, which are completely acceptable (and necessary) in our profession, we are going to have to pay the price for jargon.”
My favorite posts (and ones everyone can relate to):
- Your weekly case of the Mondays (Featuring Bridesmaid’s star, Melissa McCarthy, aka Megan.)
- When you’re trying to carry your laptop, coffee, notebook, print-outs, phone and pens to a meeting (Featuring everyone’s favorite Christmas movie actor, Macaulay Culkin. KEVIN!)
- That rare morning when you don’t have any emails that need immediate response (Featuring Napoleon Dynamite co-star Aaron Ruell, aka Kip. Yessss!)
- When you get an email that starts with “Thank you for your patience” (Featuring Michelle Tanner in my favorite Full House episode of all time, Polite Police.)
Which posts are your favorite? I’m sure I’ve missed 99 other good ones…
Whether you’re in PR or not, be sure to bookmark 99 Problems and follow them on Twitter – you won’t regret it (and neither will your colleagues when you send them the links).
Hey, we all have problems – why not laugh about them, right?

I too get a kick out of this Tumblr feed, but didn’t know they also had a Twitter account. Thanks, Liz! I will most certainly follow @PitchAintOne on Twitter too!
