PR Nonsense
Tech trends and other detritus

No Recycling, dodgy news releases, CD press kits…

In a slide show today, CIO.com highlights what it calls ‘The Biggest Bummers of CES…”

Apart from over-priced products that seem to add little in the way of value or usefulness, Zomm and Moxi being the best examples, CIO also gives a couple of pointers for how trade shows need to go green…

Firstly, it’s time to provide recycling bins at trade shows to collect all that collateral that exhibitors produce and the press packs that PR’s hand out…..all of which is unceremoniously dumped in the bin nearest the exit door each day!  Starting to think that it must be time to start using less rather than just recycling…

Secondly, those good people that do ‘go digital’ and avoid printing loads of collateral and physical press packs….need to catch up with the modern world and leverage the USB port rather than the non-existent CD-ROM drive…

All good stuff….and sound advice that we will be sharing with our client TM Forum as we begin to the preparation and support of its’ Management World show in Nice this Spring.
