Emerson Global Marketing Management
This morning I spoke to approximately 40 students in Emerson’s Global Marketing Management class on Global PR. The class covers marketing from an MBA-style point of view. Students learn how to evaluate foreign markets, learn about foreign entry strategies, marketing segmentation, targeting, consumer behavior, product strategy, pricing, channel strategy, and marketing communications strategy including PR.
I focused my presentation around three cases from my career and tried to highlight the international aspects so the students could get a feel for how PR works in different geographies. The students seemed very interested in the practical side of agency life and also measurement. It was great to see their minds at work and I really enjoyed all the questions. It was a great interactive session.
Thanks Emerson for all the Tweets this morning and for reviving my use of Twitter. I promise to Tweet more often.
