It's Like Bookmarking But Better
This is the tag line of a new tool the March team is currently testing. iCyte is a software product enabling users to mark, copy, save and share any Web-based content. It allows you to add notes and tags, and prevents any broken links through its archiving system. According to the Web site, founders Graham Smith and Stephen Foley originally created LiveNote to help lawyers annotate transcripts, and then developed iCyte to broaden the annotatations and help with any Internet research. Check out Erik Larkin’s PC World blog post and smallbiztechnology.com’s write-up fior additional information on iCyte.
We learned about the tool after seeing a LinkedIn Answers question from Kimberly Maul at PRWeek–and are so far pleased with it. The online demo helped us get started, the workflow is intuitive, and we have been able to easily share projects throughout the office. The iCyte team also instantly responded to a suggestion offered through the online customer feedback form. From a PR perspective, iCyte seems to be a simple, clean way of tracking and reporting online coverage for clients.
March welcomes any of your thoughts on and experiences with the Web-based tool!
