Interesting way to monitor conversations on Twitter…
The service is similar to Google Alerts, basically providing keyword related email alerts. NY Times covered it (relatively) recently.
The impact and influence of Twitter is certainly growing….Twitterbeep would have offered a great way to track both of these axamples.
#Amazonfail – this story broke back in April and concerns how Amazon classifies books it is selling and how its approach outraged some of the contributing authors.
#CNNfail – this one broke last weekend and concerns the CNN’s coverage, or lack of coverage, of the Iranian elections. Fascinating that CNN now features news of the Iranian protests prominently on the homepage. Interesting link also to a piece by Time, about Twitter’s use as a means of protest about the Iranian elections.
